Pro signs on again

Great Harwood have signed up popular professional Syed Shahabuddin to return for the 2012 season.

‘Shobby’ has had an excellent season for the club, scoring 1,223 runs and taking 77 wickets in all competitions.

Chairman Paul Houldsworth said: "Shobby has been nothing short of magnificent this season with his performances and we couldn’t have asked for much more from him.

"His record in the two seasons he has spent with us in 2008 and now in 2011 is testament to the professionalism he shows on and off the field.

"It is a real boost for the club to have the deal agreed as we have a busy winter ahead."

NatWest CricketForce

We would invite all club members, local businesses and members of the local community to come and assist us on our CricketForce day.

On the day the club will be getting thr ground ready for the new season, refurbishing the dressing rooms, umpires hut and scorebox, and generally making the club a better place for our members and the local community.

Your support will be appreciated. The event starts at 10a.m. on Saturday 27th March and breakfast and T-Shirts will be provided for all those in attendance
